Yeah, Ontario is really big. I am now in Alliston - about an hour drive north of the Big Smoke. We have passed the halfway point of the trip in days and KMs some time ago. From Thunder Bay to the Soo (sioux St. Marie) there were lots of KMs and lots of hills and lots of mosquitos and not much else.
Since the Soo I've just been busy -doing what I have no idea. Between the rides and the camp stuff I seem to keep pretty occupied. I did trade off a cook duty so I now don't have to cook all through the Atlantic provinces!
the interesting thing about Ontario so far is that it is so different. North of the Soo is a totally differnt world than the tourist/cottage strip we've just passed through and now that we are touching on the congested south is a whole new country again. Mercifully icecream is universal!
My weight loss is now at approximatley 20 pounds. I get to eat ice cream and bakery sweets every day! I was at a cottage in Owen sound with an original tour vet and he had a scale and a machine that measured my body fat at 14.8% with a BMI of 24.1. Although we had just eaten a huge supper so the number's may be bluzzy.
Well that's all for now. We'll be in Ottawa on the weekend so perhaps I'll see some of you then.
